More About The Google Keyword Tool!

We discussed in some of our recent articles that the Google Keyword Tool is a great way to find new keywords for your ad campaigns.

We discussed very little about the Website Content option which is the second part of this powerful tool. With this tool you can find keywords based on your website content. With the keyword tool you have chosen the keywords and phrases you felt would be the correct keywords for your particular opportunity. The website content tool will let you enter the URL of your business website. The AdWords system will then scan your website page and suggest rich relevant key words and phrases.

With this two step process you have just added possibly another 200 additional keywords and phrases that Google has suggested which could help get better exposure for your site. Google does not guarantee it will help, however, if Google has suggested those entries, I’m sure those words and phrases will help in gaining “Top Positions on Google.” Nothing is guaranteed on the internet except hard work and consistent posting of fresh keyword rich, relevant content to your articles, blogs, ezines and whatever other mode of advertising you may be involved in.

You can create multiple ad groups with some similar keywords in each group. You are best advised to create more that one ad group for each campaign. Creating several new ad groups may even be advisable. You should keep the groups small, with laser focus on similar keywords you want to promote. You can revert back to the Keyword Tool at this point to search for relevant keywords and phrases. Once you get your list then divide the list into maybe 5 to 20 similar terms. By using this strategy you will be able to promote a single business opportunity or multiple products or services. As you continue to use this tool, you will see all kind of possibilities emerge.

Within your search you may want to choose some negative keywords. In the Keyword Tool be sure to look for some off-topic keywords and phrases that potential clients may be thinking about. Try to use keywords and combination of keywords that if you were not the owner of the site and you were the customer what keywords or keyword phrases would you be typing into the Google search bar to look for the products or services your trying to promote? One example may be puppies. It may suggest the term dogs as a like term. You may want to specify a certain breed that you’re promoting. This will narrow the number of responses you will get, however, the responses you do receive will be an interested customer that will make for an easy follow up and potentially you could close the sale. Sometimes even intentionally misspelling a word will generate some traffic. Not everyone is as smart as you and I, so they may spell it as it sounds. Don’t overdo this part of the process. Use your good judgment because the search engines will catch on real quick and may deduct some points for this type of action.

Use of synonyms is an excellent way of getting creative. All you have to do is sure the the synonyms box is checked in the descriptive words or phrases option. It is always checked by default, so if you unchecked it for whatever reason, make sure you check it before you proceed. One example would be: you might do the search on motels and hotels in a certain area. The tool may suggest a bed and breakfast. If you unchecked the synonym box, then the tool will probably suggest only phrases and keywords that contain at least one of the terms you submitted. Remember … these are only suggestions … get a little more creative here.

Make sure you use the language and location option of the program. If your using only the Spanish option of the keyword tool then specify that option because if you don’t specify then you’re going to get only the English results. In other languages and countries check the language and location that applies to that part of the world.

On your keyword construction start with sort of a broad brush approach and then start narrowing your terms to more specific as you would do in the smaller groups we discussed earlier. For example if you going to search for dogs … then get more specific as you go on to the particular breeds we talked about earlier. You may not want a pit bull so specify exactly what breed you’re wanting to promote. You may require the assistance of some professional to help you with this important chore.

If you need more in-depth suggestions? Google suggest “you try the Search-based Keyword Tool. While it shares some features with the Keyword Tool, the Search-based Keyword Tool displays a list of relevant user queries that have occurred on Google.com (and on other Google search properties), based on your URL. Additionally, the Search-based Keyword Tool provides more detailed data for each keyword, such as category information, suggested bid that may place the ad in the top three spots of a search results page, and Ad/Search share.

How will refering new affiliates to an affiliate program make me money in the future? Thats where a 2 tier affiliate program works like magic!

Affiliates are getting cleverer by the day. So these days, affiliates know the difference between the different types of traffic they can get paid for. There are a lot of definitions though – CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL, CPD and many more.

CPM is impressions, when the publisher (the website owner) gets paid every time a banner is shown.

CPC is clicks, where the publisher (or email marketer and other marketers) gets paid every time a banner or text link is clicked upon.

The other ways of getting paid are grouped together under the term performance marketing – and this is where the term affiliate is most commonly used as well.

An affiliate is a marketer who sends visitors to another site using a variety of methods (such as placing banners or text links on their own site, buying sponsored listings on search engines, email marketing and many other different methods) and gets paid when an action happens. This action can be a lead (CPL stands for Cost per Lead), a Sale (CPS stands for Cost per Sale), a download (CPD stands for Cost per download) and many other variations.

Some in the Internet industry refer to performance based marketing as CPA (cost per acquisition), although the term is also sometimes used for specific types of campaigns such as leads or sales.

Now that we’ve got over the hard part, the rest is easy to understand.

The affiliate gets paid for sending visitors to a specific landing page where an action happens – either a lead, a sale, a download or some other sort of action that the advertiser requires. As an example, some advertisers are looking to build up their databases, so they pay for each opt in email address they receive, others want leads from specific locations, so they pay for zip codes, and then try convince the visitors after they fill in their zip code, to fill in a more detailed lead form.

The common denominator is that the affiliate gets paid when an action happens.

A 2 Tier affiliate program is simply finding new marketers to sign up under you to do EXACTLY what you are doing – sending visitors to different offers and getting paid when the visitors perform some sort of action. So why would you want other marketers to sign up under you to promote the same offers? Simple – you get paid a percentage of the amount the affiliate you refer gets paid? Sounds complicated?

Don’t worry, it’s not hard to understand. As an example, say John promotes 5 different offers on a single affiliate network. He gets paid for every lead, sale, email and zip code he generates from these different offers. John now tells Mark about the Network and gets Mark to sign up using a banner or text link that has John’s referral code built into it. Mark now signs up to the Affiliate Network under John and starts promoting various offers and advertisers from the Affiliate Network. These offers DON’T have to be the same offers that John is promoting. Mark can promote ANY of the offers on the Affiliate Network.

And this is the best part…

For any amounts that Mark gets paid, John receives a percentage of the amount over and above what Mark gets paid. So if Mark gets paid $1000 in Month 1, and the 2 Tier Affiliate program is paying 5%, then John would receive $50 just for referring Mark.

But it gets even better…

Some 2 Tier Affiliate Networks pay LIFETIME commissions. So John wouldn’t get a referral commission just for a month or a year – he receives it FOR ALL TIME.

If Mark becomes a super affiliate and starts generating HUGE commissions every month, John can just sit back and collect the checks as he referred him.

There are 3 important things to know when finding affiliates to sign up under you on 2 Tier Affiliate Programs:

Is the affiliate program or affiliate network credible, has proper tracking so your referrals are correctly tracked, has good campaigns and offers for the affiliates to promote so they actually do make money, and do they pay timeously? Assuming that the affiliate program or network is good, what percentage do they pay you on amounts that your referrals get paid? All programs vary so compare different programs to see what the industry standard is.

How long do you continue receiving referral commissions for? Some pay for a month, some for the lifetime, and of course there are many variations in between.

So do your homework and find a 2 Tier program that can make you money long in the future for the work you’re doing today.

We Know Words because using blogs as marketing tools are equivalent to being an SEO Online Copywriter Pro: you blog with keywords, you get found. Clients may not always listen, but it the copywriter doesn’t speak up and the copy doesn’t work, guess who gets blamed! Clients who are smart enough to follow my counsel make a ton of money because I give them a dynamic arsenal with which to beat out the competition. With my training in psychology, I know how to hit the right buttons and use the right trigger words.

Search engines always provide high preference to websites that display genuine content; and not websites that impose the use of additional pages or “doorway pages”. Such doorway pages are implemented only for the sole purpose of acquiring a high ranking. Search engines like text and if the text on a website is relevant to the main topic and keywords then the search engines will like it even better. And that’s where your online copywriter – sometimes called an SEO Copywriter Pro - comes in.

Outsourcing is hiring an outside organization to perform services such as information processing and applications development.

Sites now look to feed the content beast with blogs, articles and e-books. Web pages require regular updating. Sitespin may look like a low-key online destination but – with such burning entrepreneurial ambition behind it – who knows how long it will be until that major, Google-style IPO takes everyone by surprise? It is, however, a ‘site-randomizer’ – all the websites in my database have paid at least 1 USD to be there. Site audits gives you the freedom of knowing what to fix (and sometimes, how to fix it) for the fastest results. That more than justifies the cost.

Sales lead tracking is a reliable means of getting the statistics that you need from the methods you used in sales lead generation. Through this, you will abrate their own sales leads. Sales and Selling is a vital ingredient in business or activity. When you get right down to it, we are all marketing’. Online copywriter just does it much faster and more efficiently.
